It is the policy of George Mason University to comply with federal copyright law, all related law codified at 17 U.S.C. §101 et seq and also the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), a federal law that governs the educational records of eligible students All faculty, staff and students must adhere to University copyright policy and are expected to seek consultation and advice from the Copyright Office, University Libraries, and Office of the University Registrar when using the copyrighted works of others and sharing content outside the Blackboard Learn environment.
