Policy

It is the policy of George Mason University to comply with federal copyright law, all related law codified at 17 U.S.C. §101 et seq and also the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), a federal law that governs the educational records of eligible students All faculty, staff and students must adhere to University copyright policy and are expected to seek consultation and advice from the Copyright Office, University Libraries, and Office of the University Registrar when using the copyrighted works of others and sharing content outside the Blackboard Learn environment.

Nearly 2,000 international students from 125 countries attend George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, making it one of the most diverse higher education institutions in the country. The rich culture, dress and rhythms of George Mason's student body are reflected in one of the most popular annual events on campus, the International Dance Competition, held during International Week.

34th annual I-Week featured dancers from the Arab Student Association, Ashanti Belly Dance Club, Hellenic Society, Hispanic Student Association and Indian Student Association and Kania Maniasa taking the stage at Mason's Center for the Arts.
